The wings were torn off the Japanese aircraft manufacturing industry after WWII, until the development of the YS-11 passenger plane rose like a phoenix from the ashes. The story behind the development of the YS-11 has been told through movies and books, and still impresses today. The YS-11 proved to be the only successful commercial passenger plane developed and built in Japan for short to medium flights, and was in active service around the globe. The design of the YS-11 fuselage, that was the source of so many dramas, has been beautifully reproduced in FRP with balsa main and tail wings in a pre-built kit. Electric motor power means you simply switch ON to start enjoying twin-propeller flight with no starting and adjustment issues to overcome. Complete with the color scheme of the Japanese Coast Guard, only a little assembly remains for the music of twin-propellers to reach up into the sky.
